June 9 Health Fair Focuses on Seniors and Caregivers
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is partnering with the Laramie County Community Partnership’s Healthier Laramie County Action Team to host
Health Matters, a free health fair for seniors and caregivers at the Laramie County Community College gym on June 9, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The fair will focus on improving the health and quality of life for seniors and caregivers in our community. There will be free health screenings and giveaways. More than 40 vendors have been invited. Vendors will provide information on:
- Travel opportunities
- Exercise and fitness
- Bereavement support
- Hospice care
- Home security and safety
- Safe driving
Blood chemistry profiles will be available for participants who have their blood drawn ahead of time. Blood draws will be held at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s East building, 2600 East 18th St., on May 29, May 31 and June 5, 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the White Buffalo Room. Blood draws are available on a walk-in basis. Fasting for 10 hours ahead of the blood draw is recommended (water and medications are permitted).
A blood draw costs $25 for a General Chemistry Profile (includes lipids and thyroid), PSA and Hgb A1C. A variety of other blood tests will be offered. Complete descriptions will be available at the blood draws or by calling 773-1326.

Health Matters to answer health-related questions and to help interpret blood draw results. Blood chemistry profiles will be mailed to those who cannot attend the health fair.
