Behavioral Health

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center's Behavioral Health Services offers inpatient and outpatient programs to assess patients' medical, psychological, biological and social needs. Our goal is to help guide patients through recovery and wellness to help them maintain and live a satisfying life.

Partial Hospitalization Services

This full-service program on the Behavioral Health Unit is focused on patient safety. Care is provided by psychiatrists, therapists, occupational therapy, registered nurses and chemical dependency counselors. It is a day program intended to provide an environment conducive to stabilizing psychiatric conditions to prevent acute care psychiatric hospitalization. Treatment time is usually provided three hours a day for two to five days a week, and can last anywhere from six to 24 weeks of treatment.

Outpatient Services

Outpatient services is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, a mental health therapist and nurses. We provide medication management, psychotherapy, child and adolescent, individual, couples and group therapy.

Outpatient Therapy

We also offer intensive outpatient therapy in which we focus on addiction—both chemical dependency and substance abuse. This program is overseen by a physician who specializes in addictions.

Support Services

Once a patient is discharged from a behavioral health program, post-care services may be helpful in sustaining a patient's recovery.

When patients are discharged from our in-patient program they are set up with partial hospitalization or with a therapist for individual therapy. This therapy may be with one of our licensed therapists or a professional in the local community.
